Here are some answers to Frequently Asked Questions.  If you have a question that is not answered below, please contact us and one of our Occasion Giftware Gift Gurus will be sure to respond in a prompt manner. 

Each order is thoroughly inspected and packed with care by our Shipping Department at Occasion Giftware.  Our products will arrive to you in the original packaging.  We are happy to giftwrap your purchase.  Just let us know the colour you prefer and we will do the rest.  All details regarding your gift wrapping requests can be keyed into the comment section of the checkout screen.   Additional costs apply when gifts are requested to be gift wrapped.  Nothing will be charged to you unless your permission is received to gift wrap your purchase.  We will contact you with options.

To check on the status of your order, please login to your account to receive detailed information about your order.

Our main shipping partners are Canada Post and Canpar although we reserve the right to choose an alternate shipping company based on the most cost effective geographically viable option. Once your order has been processed and ready to ship, you will receive an email containing pertinent information.  You may also check the status of your order by logging into your account.  As most of our products ship out from the Toronto, Ontario area, products being shipped into the USA may face an additional shipping charge.

Please note that each product on the Occasion Giftware website has a specific processing time.  Processing times do not include shipping/freight transit times.  Shipping fees are calculated by weight of your package and by volumetric weight on larger items.  We are unable to deliver to a PO Box.

Shipping and handling charges in addition to duties or taxes are paid by the customer from Toronto, ON Canada to the destination.  Please note that if we are shipping outside of Canada, that you may need to pay additional import fees, taxes, brokerage fees and handling fees to receive your order.  These additional fees are not collected or controlled by Occasion Giftware.  You might be contacted by your local customs office concerning payment or customs fees.  Customs processing of your shipment might cause delays in the delivery of your package.  Please ensure that you are familiar with your country's customs process and fee structure before you order so you know what to expect.

We are located near Toronto, Ontario Canada serving customers throughout Canada and the United States.  Please note that there are no products at our Mississauga location hence customer pick up is not available.  Products are shipped from warehouses from various locations around the country.  We regret that we are unable to ship to destinations outside of Canada and the United States.

Occasion Giftware offers FREE SHIPPING  on all orders over $250 (before taxes).  This free shipping offer applies to orders paid for in Canadian dollars and being delivered to a Canadian address.  

Residents of Ontario (ON) , New Brunswick (NB) and Newfoundland (NL) are subject to 13% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST).  British Columbia (BC) will be charged 12% HST and Nova Scotia (NS) will be calculated at 15% HST.  Residents of Quebec (QC) will be charged 12.5% tax. Saskatchewan (SK) and Prince Edward Island (PE) residents will be charged 10% tax. Residents of Alberta (AB) are subject to 5% GST.  U.S. customer purchases are tax exempt. 

Delivery Time
We really care about your special event hence encourage you to order as early as possible so the delivery will be on time. Delivery time typically ranges from 4 days to 3 weeks, depending on availability of products and shipping times. Once your order is placed, you will receive an email within 48 hours providing you with an expected delivery date. Since we always try our best to assist our customers, special arrangements are always available. Occasion Giftware will not be responsible for any packages that arrive late due to shipping problems that arise with our couriers.

The shipping charges are for delivery of your package.  Duties are not associated with any shipping charges you pay.  As duties and taxes are collected by the Government, we have no control over the policies and procedures of Customs in your Country, including the duties that they may collect.  Occasion Giftware is not responsible for any duties, taxes, and brokerage fees associated with the shipment. If your order will be shipped outside of Canada, we strongly encourage you to research all country-specific regulations prior to placing an order that may affect your international shipment.

Price Match
Occasion Giftware
will match any competitor’s advertised price for identical merchandise online. We reserve the right to verify that the competitor is an authorized dealer located in Canada. To request a price match, requests must be made using the Contact Us form.

Safeguard Information
Occasion Giftware would like to assure you that all transactions conducted online are completely safe and secure.  Safeguarding your financial and personal information is taken very seriously.  Our payment service provider is PayPal.  PayPal is an independent contractor that acts as an agent with respect to the custody of your funds.  The information received by PayPal is protected by SSL encryption key length of 168 bits (the highest level commercially available).  Your information is stored in PayPal's servers and heavily guarded, both physically and electronically.  To further shield your credit card or bank numbers, PayPal does not directly connect their firewall-protected servers to the internet.  Occasion Giftware has the right to refuse and refund transactions based on an unauthorized transaction from Paypal.  Learn more about PayPal's Data Encryption.  For more information, please review our Privacy Policy.
